Ahepa's public position on ecclesiastical struggle is one of strong support for Archbishop Spyridon
In a letter to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholemew, the President of AHEPA, L. RALLIS, made known the organization's position as far as the disputes surrounding the person of the Archbishop His Eminence Archbishop Spyridon, the letter of which reads as follows.
Your All Holiness:
I hope that my message finds you in good health.
I am writing you with sentimental responsibility, to tell you that the Greek-American Community has been judged, by the rumors, concerning our Archbishop, His Eminence Spyridon.
His message, when he travels the United States of America, is a message of reconciliation and love, and I hope and pray that he remains among us as Archbishop for a long period of time.
I feel certain, that with time he will solve whatever problems that are confronting our communities into the next millennium.
I am absolutely sure with the guidance of your all Holiness and the leadership of his Eminence Archbishop Spyridon, we will continue forward for a better Greek-American Community in this country.
With respect,
L. Rallis
Supreme President
of the Order of Ahepa
